From my Original Home Page – Jan 2015 you will see that I was hoping to lose 2st in weight and for a complete change in lifestyle, so that this time round my diet would no longer be a diet but a way of life.
I DID IT! Just over 2 years ago I started my Journey using the Weight Watchers No Count and you can follow that all the way through in the archives on my blog. I would say that my eating habit is now definitely part of my life. I no longer enjoy eating takeaway accept Pizza which I still love but only have very occasionally, I actually hate McDonalds now, Chinese I have altered what I eat and enjoy it which means I can join in at least one family take away night. Haven’t had Kebab for atleast 2 years, I have had Fish & Chips maybe once and that was at the seaside, there is something about having Fish & Chips at the seaside. I now also find eating out in general at restaurants rather pointless as I cant say I enjoy the food that much anymore….once a month is about as much I can do!
In January 2017 I think I finally learnt how to cook too! Before that I was mainly eating salad, rice, salmon, veg and chicken. Now I can actually cook: vegetable curry, chilli con carne, meatballs in sauce, salmon fishcakes, chicken & Leak pie, Cheesy Vegetable Crumble, Butternut Squash Soup and casserole. I now prefer eating the meals that I have prepared and they taste so much better than anything you can buy.
Didn’t manage to keep up with gym, but that was due to money more than anything else and I am hoping to get back to it as I do really miss it. I am trying the running thing again and my goal is to get to 10minutes of running…..watch this space!.
I got to Goal in November 2015 stayed there for a year then in December 2016 and through January 2017 I put on about 7lb so was out of my goal weight for a while, I am back in it now….just. I still struggle with emotional eating or snacking should I say. I can be really good for months and not snack and then the brain starts messing and the snacking starts again, I have a feeling that will always be a battle.
No Count has taught me loads and I don’t even feel like I am on a diet any more which was my ultimate goal! We can all do this!! Onwards & Upwards 🙂
